like all the times people were like "you're a dev, can you build me X?" and I would have loved to but it was so slow and tedious to do. And now, competent people with agency are just shipping and it's so beautiful

Everyone is a stakeholder, the person who requests things from devs (with or without PM). If you cant figure out your asks right you're gonna get something you hate because AI gives you exactly what you tell it.
