Good night ka #BCH but before we sleep please take time to read this short #Reflection for today's gospel.
REFLECTION:
Jesus returned to His hometown and taught in the synagogue. The people were astonished but also took offense: "Is he not the carpenter's son?" Their familiarity with Jesus prevented them from recognizing the Son of God. Because of their lack of faith, He did not work many miracles there.
Proximity can breed contempt. Those who knew Jesus as a child could not accept His divine authority. This rejection teaches us that prejudice and routine can blind us to God's action in people and places that are too familiar.
Are there people close to you whose holiness or wisdom you ignore out of habit? Do you recognize God's presence in the ordinary and familiar, or only in the extraordinary? Ask for fresh eyes to see the Lord where you least expect Him.
🙏PRAYER: 🙏
My transformative Lord, call me out of my comfort zone and into the realm of the unknown. Give me the courage to never doubt Your grace and plan for my life.
Jesus, I trust in You. Amen.
