Is anyone doing a project like this?

Title: The Open Timestamps Historical Preservation Initiative

Problem: AI deep fakes are being weaponized for politically motivated propaganda, 1984-style.

Example: a deep fake video of Reagan-era economist Art Laffer making statements and testimonials that rewrite history.

Solution: use #opentimestamps to notarize videos and documents of historically important figures such as Art.

Example: pair a hacker expert in OTS with a historian like Brian D of the Laffer Center

Urgency: very urgent, given the pace of technological advancement.

This is a project that would deserve LTS from @OpenSats, @HRF, or similar organization.
