I can spin up 100 hosted nodes for like 1500 bucks a month. Put out an emergency bip with a trigger less than a year away and I won’t even have spent a bitcoin. I do not take node count that seriously. If the proponents of a change aren’t willing to bet some portion of their future wealth on that change I am unwilling to take their side seriously.
