Hey guyz... If a new user joins Nostr... What's the best way to educate them on relays? Should they know about it and ins and outs? #asknostr

Probably not unless they are interested in nostr for the technology specifically. Most clients have sane defaults so users dont need to understand anything about relays to get started

I think they just need to know the basics.. Everyone will go as far as they want in studying everything...Giving people paths to do this is what's needed.

I just hope their client has reasonable defaults so they don't have to worry about it right away. That said nostr.band sometimes goes down. Ant new aggregator relays I should know about? I already have theforest.

It depends on the user. Some people may just want to play around posting notes, but many people will be more curious and may lose interest in Nostr if you don't explain how it works. Also, the concepts of read / write relays are actually difficult to get your mind around. I've been developing using...
