Spent the weekend at a mate’s 40th bday
I was the drinks trolley man for 3 days. I can’t do much else with my broken foot🤣
I met 9 new people
They were all a bit older than me, ...
To add another feedback on real world meetings with strangers:
1) yesterday met a "revolutionary" (hated state corruption and violence) who didn't know what bitcoin was. When I explained to him how it worked and what it actually is (a big fuck you to the state and central banks) he got interested straight away
2) last week met a rich guy who's Brazilian customers were asking him to pay in bitcoin, but he always refused.
When I explained to him what it was (he could control his own money and do with it what he wanted) he also got interested straight away
Personally I found that most people think of btc only as an investment and don't know anything else about it. When you show to them why it can benefit them they get interested straight away. I also think it's important to understand what "face" of bitcoin to present to that particular person, for example:
- to revolutionary show him how btc is a tool to fight the state
- to the rich guy show him how btc can allow him to preserve and control his own money
- to a computer nerd show him how cool btc is from a "computer lens"
- to an environmentalist show him how btc can help the energy sector
- to parent who is worried for his young kids explain to him how btc can help his kids have a brighter future
- to the dreamer show him how btc can push us towards a Renaissance 2.0 !!!
