VA just called and confirmed my success in my kidney experiment. I raised my eGFR from 67 to 89 - that's all their measurements, but a hospital I was at for the stroke told me my eGFR was 93. So there's some variance and probably a lot of factors to add noise to this signal. But I've got multiple data points on both ends - the low, a year ago ; and the high, current. So I can stop hesitating and acting all scientific - its a clear success.

But the mystery deepens... 🤔... My blood pressure remains sky high, despite fixing filtration. According to accepted kidney science, blood pressure rises in a (rather stupid) attempt to improve filtration. Since ACE inhibitors do have an effect, I have to determine if the effect is due to elevated angiotenson (spelling?) or if angiotenson is reduced to sub-normal levels. No idea how to test that. Their blood test data might have hints...

I'm gonna crack this puzzle.

That's good news. BP can remain elevated due to stress or inflammation.

low magnesium levels contribute to sustained elevated blood pressure. the smooth muscle doesn't relax properly and even if you haven't got it so bad you get bad cramps it can still be enough to get a chronic elevated bp. also, note that those measurements, there is the systolic and diastolic, which ...

What did you do for the egfr? That's an interesting result unless you quit creatine and fixed a dehydration problem.
