I’m not much of a mobile gamer but I tried again recently to find just a single playable game and I couldn’t find anything. Why are mobile games so much worse and degenerate than PC and console games. I feel like there is an opportunity here.

I think PUBG mobile has more players than the PC version. I hate mobile games tho so I don’t understand how anyone can play them

The only mobile game worth playing is Old School RuneScape. 😤

Only games I ever played were F-Sim Space Shuttle and Monument Valley. Both 5*

There are a few good ones, all PC game ports, but for the most part, the only way to play good games on mobile is through emulators. I have a Steam Deck, so I don't do that on phones or tablets for the most part, but I do like using ScummVM for old point & click adventures on mobile, it's even avail...

I bought a Backbone controller for my phone and have been playing retro games on Retroarch. Apple is slowly bringing big names over to the App store but the performance isn't there yet. AC Mirage ran like shit on both the M4 iPad and iPhone 15 pro.

I have an old portable Nintendo 3DS console with custom firmware. It's quite mobile and has a ton of great games. I recommend it.

Have you tried any of the old retro arcade games on mobile ? R-type is really playable with two thumbs 👍🏼 if you don’t know it - it’s a classic set um up side scrolling shoot um up

Low hanging fruit, extremely short term attention span for playing. Mobile gaming seems built around playing something for 3 minute spans that try to get people addicted to *actually* play for like 2 hours. So everything is built with fast, cheap “thrills” combined in short bursts of play. The ...

Magic the gathering mobile is pretty legit.

A big part of it is because of how mobile games are monetized. It is very hard to sell a mobile game. So most are built around ads and/or in-app purchases to extract money. Maintaining mobile games is also a significant ongoing effort, compared to PC or console games, partially because both Android ...

Same. A game I recently found and enjoy: isle of arrows Tower defense with some board game elements

Plants vs Zombies Yes, with ads but loads of fun and still being kept fresh after years in existence.

In android you have tons of emulators for Nintendo, neogeo, Atari, ps1-2 and have all the games for those platforms, which are amazing games. Maybe there are also options for ios

I was so frustrated with modern mobile games so I purchased a R36S mobile retro console with bunch of old nes, snes, n64, ps1, psp games for my 3rd grade son. Lots of fun for 40 bucks. https://m.primal.net/KkAs.jpg

Infinitode isn't the worst way to spend some idle time. It's my waiting room game of choice. CoD zombies on mobile honorable mention.

I think the comparison between mobile and PC/Console #games is unfair. You can’t put the same #graphics and #processing hardware into a mobile device to have the same performance as a PC or Console. Or, if you manage to get that done, you’d end up with a very uncompetitive mobile device from a p...

I never could get past the loss of an actual gamepad controller... All that tilt-sensor and touch-screen button emulation was way too awkward for my NES sensibilities... That Hay Day and Star Trek: Fleet Command did suck me in for a while. I keep going back to my PC and playing "Beneath a Steel Sky...

Because you haven't looked properly. Go to minireview.io, choose your choice of filters and you'll find some of the best games to exist.

Try getting an Xbox controller and using Bluetooth to pair the two. Playing anything with fingers on the screen is a pain in the ass

This really depends on what type of games you enjoy! Because there are well built games in some genres. I like Pokemon Unite. League of Legends is also well done.
