I've been thinking about this a lot throughout the day.
I have a high time preference for experiences I want to do with my kiddos and parents. I know time is the scarcest resource and love exploring...
Start with Maslow‘s hierarchy and work out work from there. But do it without reliance on legacy systems to as great a degree as possible. It seems to be the approach I’m taking. But I’m definitely going to run out of time and capital before I run out of ideas. Best I can hope for is to set up a Homestead that the family can rely on returning to for a couple of generations, rather than just treating it like a real estate investment like my parents did. We had 50 beautiful partially forested acres with 30 acres of it in crops. A stream running through it, and endless game. the same guy that purchased it from my parents in 1986 still lives there. I left the farm life at 15 and have been trying to get back to it ever since.
