Congratulations on your achievement. Alcohol can cause both physical (chemical) dependence and psychological dependence. In some individuals, genetics plays a massive role, not just the social environment. If you are one of those individuals who is more susceptible to it, or if you know someone who is, ask your GP about an alcohol antagonist medication such as nalmefene.
