Luke's entire argument is based on assuming he has the support of miners and node operators.

Knots nodes plateaued around 20% a long time ago; that's the maximum RTDS nodes can realistically reach. If you add 20% of the hash rate to that (which they won't achieve), all you'll get is a nice split.

Current figures don't even reach 1% of the hash rate, and RTDS nodes are around 10% at best.

If anyone is willing to bet a considerable amount with me, I accept the wager.

It's all unknown atm- the biggest danger to Bitcoin imo is the huge mining firms that went public. The core woke takeover is easy enough to sort out, despite current numbers, but heavily centralised mining isn't.

Essentially, your argument boils down to this: "There isn't enough support, therefore it won't happen, therefore supporting it is irrational." That shifts the discussion from technical merit to social conformity. Your underlying message feels less like: "Here's why BIP-110 is technically incorrec...
