i think strc probably pumps the fuck out of the coin but has more risk than people admit, especially long term, and hopefully it does not blow up in all our faces

seems like a lot of things could go wrong if a bunch of degen products are built on top of a high dividend paying stock that is funded by selling a different stock that is itself a leveraged bet on bitcoin, but maybe thats a stretch

that’s a stretch

Much more reasonable take instead of putting it in the same bucket at Iuna and blockfi

It can never blow up because it's not debt, it's preferred stock. Worst comes to worse, the dividend is paused l, strc goes down temporarily. But we are raking bitcoin at 20k in 2035. STRC is THE BIGGEST THING IN FINANCE AND BITCOIN

This is Fiat.

High yield usually means hidden risk. Market pays you for what you’re not seeing

STRC might pump, sure… but that’s just more proof the market still chases yield over sound money.

Brother… I’m trying to get my head around STRC. I got the most respect for Saylor but I don’t wanna give anyone fiat so they can buy bitcoin and give me back fiat in return. However I gotta accept I need fiat to get by on a daily so am thinking I should jump in if it generates income.

Bad publicity is still good publicity Scams were inevitable They can't destroy bitcoin though -> bullish

Put 10k in River cash (using tradional banking/US treasury) and get 3.3% in auto bought Bitcoin lauded as 'worthy' of a Bitcoin merit badge. Put 10k in STRC (using tradional credit/equity) and get 11.5%. Self buy BTC with gains. Therefore, scam worthy of shunning. Put 10k in US Treasuries directly...

Look on the bright side: If it all collapses, and Strategy goes under, we'll get to see what happens when close to 1M coins hits the market regardless of a quantum. (okay, that's not really a bright side).

Risk is inherent, prioritize fundamentals like STRC's dividend-paying history.

We are all on a big raft and salyor is having a big party with massive bonfire. Let's hope it dosent get out of control. Should hedge my hedge

We're pumping so much right now people asking me to stop the pump. They're like "please stop the pumping we don't know what to do with all of it".

Can anyone give concrete examples of how STRC is risky ? Genuinely trying to steelman why STRC could implode.

Would be more concerned about a giant US grovelment rug pull along the lines of The United States Gold Reserve Act of January 30, 1934 especially considering fuckers like Bitcoin Magazine have handed it over to the politicians & wall street on a plate.

When I hear "financial engineering" I translate it to "fraud".

Its better then buying ehtereum or solana to change future of finance, but worse then holding bitcoin in self custody. Its free market, at least its not forced like fiat.

And yet so many bitcoiners make fun of the shitcoiners for their ponzis.... Fuck Saylor he's a piece of shit honestly.

What risks? I haven't read any valid reason why this would be risky. Strategy is overcollateralized and they manage to maintain a reasonable level of leverage. Once all financial institutions adopt this approach (they will have no choice because of game theory), the systemic risk on bitcoin due to...

if it can blow up, somehow it will blow up at some point in time.
