Yeah, I know the feeling. Found woodworking to have its own inherent stresses / anxieties. With software, you can usually unfuck things, unless you’ve nuked the data or side-effected something in systems you don’t control, etc… Wood - not so much 😅

If the slip left a hole in the wrong spot, glue in a hardwood dowel, then drill a fresh pilot hole through the center of the plug. The screw drives into fresh dowel wood and the repair has full holding strength. Birch or maple dowels work well for this.
