we need more of this energy on nostr. i wish nostr devs cared about not breaking things as much linus does about not breaking userspace.

imagine updating your linux kernel and then half of your program stop working. this is what most nostr devs want to do to your nostr clients today. its quite sad.

In the first ten years there where multiple userspace breaking changes in Linux. That rule wasn't solidified by Linus until 2.2-2.4 era when the kernel had matured and it was starting to be used by major business interests.

Feeling this. NWC wisp and coinos sats got hacked a month ago and looks like similar stuff is happening now. 😣 Ironically today is my second attempt to flash an old lap top with Linux distro. Terrible month.

This already happens today. Updated fedora to 44 and my KDE desktop is broken.
