My bus driver in first grade told us all that there was a machine that cuts off your arms and legs if they are in the aisle. When I told my parents about this they laughed.

Another bus driver I had would let us slide on our backs under all the seats from the back of the bus to the front, using momentum when she made sharp stops. She also smoked cigarettes while driving once most of the kids were off. My parents also had no problem with this.

Whatever, this is the Gen-X version of “I used to walk uphill in the snow with no shoes”.
