@nprofile1q... in English, I usually distinguish social "media" (algorithmic) and social "networks" (intentional and chronological). I've been doing that for quite a while.
In Russian, unfortunately, I couldn't come up with an equally elegant distinction, all these things have always been called "social networks" (социальные сети).
