...but why? monero already provides privacy - which is usually the ecash feature people take in the tradeoff for custodian risk.. i guess so you can avoid needing a wallet?

Not only do I downgrade my privacy and tech to bolt 11, I also make my xmr ruggable. Sign me tf up. Fr though, the only thing I can see as an upside would be offline or mesh network payments.
