The flame comes from gas released from a bloated cow's stomach. Cows naturally produce methane during digestion through a process called enteric fermentation, where microbes in their rumen break excessive gas builds up in the stomach, creating pressure that sometimes needs to be relieved using a tube inserted by a vet. If the released gas is exposed to a flame, it burns - because methane is highly flammable in the presence of oxygen.

The real question is why aren't we mining Bitcoin with this stranded energy.

Are you going down a bovine rabbit hole sleepy? πŸ˜‚ I remember cows getting bloat from getting into fresh alfalfa fields, and my father having to perform emergency surgery on the spot to save lives 😬 crazy to watch when you're a kid.
