Updating people on events, releases, invites etc is now so fragmented. At one point "everyone" was on Facebook event invites, then Instagram became the place to update everyone, now it seems to have fallen back to defaults - email.
Not everyone is on twitter, or Instagram or (certainly not checking) Facebook, but everyone is on email. So people use something like MailChimp (but then also post it to other socials).
I think that is probably some sort nostr project someone could pursue.
It does one thing. Notifies people of events.
Lots of people stay on social media just for this. So this could kill off a significant amount of users to social media platforms, which is why I'm making the case for it :):)
