i know this is a first world problem, but System 76 laptops do not have bright enough screens to use outside.

recommend for great laptops with hardware and software that work well together. recommend for a company that's from the USA. recommend for Linux. meh for build quality. do not recommend if you want to work outside - even on overcast days i cannot see shit.

To be fair, it's a pretty big buzzkill if you're active and on the go. Kinda defeats the whole purpose of a laptop.

E-ink > brighter display for outdoor use. Not that that'll help here either. But if anyone's pushing them to do better, put 'em in contact with the folks at Daylight Computer.

Yeah sadly the hardware is low tier— dim screen, weak speakers, loud fan always on, battery always inflates and morphs the casing. Went back to apple because of these problems.
