Agreed with this completely. I think a free relay is worth pursuing, even if it's just a temporary solution. I could volunteer as a moderator, just need a good way to moderate on mobile since i'm never sitting still.
And I think @abu ruqayyah 's digital Islamicate is already a good prototype for a sort of "newsletter". I mean I guess it could be modified to include a newsletter I think.
