By the way, I found at least 3 shops in Lausanne with the Bitcoin logo but unable to accept it. It turns out they all use Worldline terminals that use to accept Bitcoin and Ethereum but I never saw it working, I hear the fee were very bad, same as the worst credit card on merchant side and a huge spread on the exchange rate on customer side.
I wrote to Worldline and it turns out they stopped their cryptocurrency offering (when ? Why ? They didn't want to answer).
So I tried to Orange Pills these merchants but it turns out they don't really care and never had any customer paying in Bitcoin anyway, and employee never reported any request to pay in Bitcoin (probably they were but the guy at the counter doesn't care and forgot about it after 5min).

It's hard.

By the way I would not be so punitive with online merchant on the map, I know a small Bitcoin merch shop that has a pin at his business address but not front store. Also a moving company accepting Bitcoin but of course they have not service at their location as they come to move your appartement. I would not remove it because anyway, it's offering service for the local (city or country wide) community, they are already so few merchants accepting it, we should not kill them.

I think it's important they continue to accept bitcoin even without any customers paying with it. After a while there will be more and more joining. About...
