Not sure if they work all the same way but..

The shit I am using has 9 different levels of "heat", but basically it just varies from being On and Off.

Level 1 turns on for 2 secs then stay off for like 7 secs..

Level 9 is almost always on, turns off after 7/8 secs and stays off for 1/2 max.

Worst thing you can do is trying to cook a steak.
