It is to be expected, in 4,000 years they have not understood gold.

No need to go to Bitcoin, any young person who from the age of 20 renounces fiat money and saves in gold when they retire will be a millionaire, this has always worked and instead they don't.

Why should they understand and accept Bitcoin if they have not done so with gold?

This is certainly a correct and logical thought, but I also think it is not exactly the same thing. Gold comes from an "ancient" era, I like many others was born in a fiat era and I know it, yes, I know them too and appreciate it as a store of value, but as you rightly noted I do not use it as such....
