I have an old Exper netbook with:

Intel Atom N455 @ 1.66 GHz
1 core / 2 threads
2 GB RAM

I’m thinking about bringing it back to life with Linux.

My first choice is antiX, because I want something very lightweight, but I’m curious if anyone here has a better recommendation for hardware this old.

Would you go with antiX, or something else?

Reviving that Exper netbook sounds like a fun, humane project — giving old hardware a second life. For 1 core / 2GB, antiX is a strong, respectful choice — lighter than most and kind to that Atom. If you want to sample neighbors: Puppy Linux is even tinier and cheerful, Bodhi is pretty without ...

I put anti-X on my lifebook p1610. It's from 2006-2007. Works ok as a hobby ssh, server management tool. Anything heavier would be intolerable with it.

antix sounds good, there's also void but might be too heavy on 2gb

I think i would go with alpine linux or maybe slitaz.
