@nprofile1q... @midway That's life running any type 2 hypervisor on Windows these days. Trying to do ESXi on Workstation on Windows is quite the bother. It should run though, you just won't be able to run any VMs on it.
Best option is to use Linux as the host OS, though I fully understand that's not always possible/ideal. The best path would be a bare metal box running Proxmox and hosting your ESXi nested on that.
That said, Broadcom sucks and can die in a fire, so find a better hypervisor to test.
