After all the problems with every Bitcoin wallet under the sun (now Alby), I’m starting to think maybe it’s actually better to just keep your Bitcoin on an exchange, put it in staking, and earn some interest on it while you’re at it. Honestly, at this point, why the hell not… 😂

custodial risk doesn't go away, it just moves from wallet bugs to exchange counterparty risk. alby's issues are annoying but recoverable. an exchange freeze or hack isn't.

Bitcoin does not have staking. It is not a proof of stake protocol. It has proof of work. If you are earning interest on Bitcoin via an exchange, they are *lending your Bitcoin* for margin trading.
