Strangest problem at work today. We always get these SSL certificates with a validity of one year and our last one just expired so I renewed it. I also updated our website, restarted Apache and it's been running fine with the new certificate ever since.
However, one of our tools that has to send a curl request to that website was not working and after a long while of figuring out why, it turned out that it was an SSL problem and I had to end up adding the CA to the `/etc/ssl/certs/ca-certificates.crt` file of the server that was doing the curl request.
But I am not quite sure why that would happen? The URL that curl was accessing could be opened without any problems in all of my browsers, it just didn't work through curl.
