After 3 years, it's still wild to be surrounded by the same genotype. Seeing my hair texture in the US, Mexico, many other countries wasn't common. Now I see almost every girl with the same long, thin, straight hair in the same color pallete as mine.

These differences probably don't register if you were raised in the same country you were born in. I'd argue American's don't pay attention at all since American genotypes are mixed. I'm constantly amazed by localized evolution and unique diversity this planet offers.

It's an interesting observation, makes me wonder if it's ability to travel, or actually reproduction like you say. Probably a bit of bohth. Devil's advocate might say it's more likely girls that look like that will travel, or even that more girls who look like that are around in other parts of world...
