I want to introduce a musician to Nostr but my concern is they will put their music here & everyone will just send 21 sats. You do realize your sending a fraction of a penny right? Some musicians I spoke with already have concerns that not enough people will be reached out to & that more ai will spam faster then their music gets shared by people.

They would rather rely on reaching out to people through the traditional networks such as tunecore which gets your music on apple music, amazon music, facebook ads, x media, & radsophy which is apparently still around. They believe tunecore guarantees more people are actually looking. How do we make nostr more valuable & profitable for musicians. #asknostr

Being in v4v at this moment is more like sending a signal than receiving an actual dough. Consider getting them to look at fanfare, where they can lock their content behind paywalls, they can then use the social bit to build up some hype, share samples etc and hopefully start encouraging people to buy their music.

The zap numbers above are right. One baseline is still missing: what the same fan pays the artist anywhere else. The problem is that most of the people here don't have that many sats, and I don't blame people for not wanting to invest fiat into it. There is a scaling issue where people are only making a couple of sats for chatting but yet just getting a whole steak just once is a month's worth of zaps for them...
