LPA to enter PAR, develop into #KiyapoPH today
The low pressure area east of the country may enter the Philippine area of responsibility this Wednesday morning, July 22, according to @dost_pagasa.
It may develop into a tropical depression shortly, which will be assigned the name Kiyapo.
At 3 a.m., it was located 1,200 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon.
The weather disturbance may intensify up to tropical storm strength and cross Northern Luzon between Friday and Saturday.
It will also pull the southwest monsoon or Habagat.
This Wednesday, the trough or extension of the LPA and the Habagat will bring scattered rains over Bicol Region, Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Habagat may bring moderate to heavy rains in SOCCSKSARGEN and mainland BARMM through Thursday and Negros and Antique through Friday.
Meanwhile, most of Northern Luzon may also experience moderate to heavy rains during the storm’s passage.
