When I lived in West Africa I took up surfing. A plastic bag or a diaper or a food wrapper would slap against my leg every other wave. That’s when I really grokked that the global south is bearing the brunt of the world’s plastic problem.

it’s terrible and the only way to stop this is governmental. plastic would have to be illegal.

Also plastic found in vegan fabrics that's turned to clothing, shoes, bags (vegan fabric is divided into PU based and natural material - and for PU based, microfibres are commonly used). Its difficult to get by a non carcinogenic env these days, plastic, process food, lifestyle, radiation, contami...
