I don't think you understand America at all. You look at it through an internet/media lens which is not correct. If you believe the US is in trouble, Europe will collapse decades before the US does. T...
I did student exchange in the US, I lived there, I worked 6 years for US companies and spent plenty of time there. Whereas you have played up the stereotypical American that I’ve been talking about in this thread.
> The US has unlimited energy, minerals and raw materials.
No it doesn’t. It has green tape, gerrymandered districts and a complete lack of processing facilities. Just because you have minerals in the dirt, doesn’t mean you can use them when it’s politically and economically infeasible.
> The US has the best scientists and engineers.
No it doesn’t. It has for decades imported the best scientists and engineers and now China holds this mantle today regardless of your importing.
> The US still provides the best opportunity for poor people to become rich.
No it doesn’t. Ranked 27th for economic mobility, way higher homeless and drug addiction rates than peer countries. Not even remotely true.
This is what I mean - Americans out of all people are by far the worst for buying into their own propaganda.
You don’t have minerals, you have deposits. You don’t have engineers, you have visas. You don’t make the poor into rich, that’s “the American dream” and it hasn’t existed for 60 fucking years at this point.
It’s this inability to look critically and pretending like you’re still top of the heap which will be your undoing.
You’re not in a great powerplay, you’re losing your global empire, retreating to hopefully hold a bloc and the way you’re going you won’t even manage to hold on to that.
That’s reality. Not whatever hopium you are smoking.
