My take on it metaphorically - Spam or bloat to the blockchain is akin to vaccines COVID, fluoride for water etc. The people behind the crap are self serving and already do well out of fiat.

I agree with you, but I think BIP110 is an effort to filter out that spam and bloat, right? But to take your comparison even further, I think the comparison of spam on the blockchain to socialism is even more literal. By selfishly putting arbitrary data on the blockchain that is outside the intend...
