People and evil institutions desperate to infiltrate Bitcoin and anything that could grow into a threat will throw money at projects both to try to control their development, curry favor with “The Community” and insert their tentacles to monitor, distort, distract and execute their wicked agenda.
Nostr is now on the list of “Threat Apps” and so is to be cursed with a poison “donation” in an attempt to gain some sort of control and influence over its development. The control will appear at first as private appeals for moderation, back doors, not allowing it to be used in enemy countries and other insidious things. If a Foundation is ever formed, the corruptors will want a seat on the board; and why shouldn’t they ask for it? They paid for it didn’t they?
Of course any developer who has sense will be able to take money that is given to zer and refuse corruption of any kind. I trust that this is the case.
The whole point of this is that infiltrators who are eager to distort, corrupt and destroy are out there.
