What’s kind of frustrating is that there aren’t really any #WordPress themes that capitalize on Fediverse integration. I don’t mind adding custom stuff in, but I’m torn between either altering a proprietary theme, or trying to code my own from scratch.
Building from scratch means way more work, but it’s theoretically well-supported to do what I want. Altering something that exists means technical debt, on a system that could change at any time.
I just don’t know what to do. Do I put all the work up front, or do it over time on the backend?
