I wish for my own children an active childhood filled with climbing, running, fishing, falling, some broken bones and some crazy experiences one can only gain from the real world. That is life.

When 'your kids play outside' is a compliment instead of an assumption, something broke and nobody filed a bug report.

I live in an area where kids play, build treehouse and bike jumps, ride skateboards and be generally loud and sometimes obnoxious. I love it!

Screens became babysitters because fiat drains the life force from parents. My kids were homeschooled and outside barefoot and muddy most of the day. As teenagers they write code and play games and watch tv, but I'm grateful for that foundation.
