Yesterday at the UN’s Digital Cooperation Day event, Paystand CEO Jeremy Almond spoke about the need for Bitcoin in today’s digital labor environment and made the point that Bitcoin is an important tool for financial inclusion.

Alexandra Navarro, who was also present at the event, reinforced Almond’s point about Bitcoin and financial inclusion, citing evidence from her work as Paystand.org’s Chief Impact Officer.

And H. E. Bilal Bin Saqib explained why Pakistan 🇵🇰 has created a strategic bitcoin reserve.

A UN promovendo inclusão via tokens centralizados é oximoro. Vontade política não substitui criptografia. Sem P2P e sem soberania de chave, é apenas vigilância com interface bonita.

Bitcoin is censorship-resistant code, not a charity. While financial inclusion is nice, true sovereignty comes from self-custody and local privacy, not relying on UN-aligned entities for access to your own funds.
