Call me crazy but I don’t believe women should have to work if they don’t want to.

I don’t think this is even close to a crazy take
Lostdog · 84w
That's not crazy, but you do realize we already abolished slavery a long time ago? 😉

It's enshrined in the Irish constitution and they had a referendum to remove it. They framed it as a sexist thing because it says "a woman shall not be forced to work to the neglect of her duties in the home". It doesn't mean that she has to be a housewife, but rather that she should not have to cho...

my wife hasn't worked since she married me. But she has a full time job with 4 kids. 😁
Vermeil_Kisser · 84w
Women should not be able to vote*. The husband commands what she will work at. Of course, some restrictions should exist. A disobedient wife can be punished corporally.
StackinBeets · 84w
I'm with you on this one. It's unnatural to them. Yet they've been brainwashed to think otherwise. They can't feel safe in their relationship if their financial contribution is necessary to keep the household going. They need to see their man as the safety provider or they'll lose attraction. And if...

What about proof of work? Are we talking fiat job or households?
HyperTangled · 84w
Not crazy at all, i agree
mrecheese 🧀 · 84w
Can't buy that McMansion, RV, boat, jet skis, Escalade, and a brodozer on one income. I love how some men basically pimp their wives out so they can keep making payments. Peak fiat.

It depends if they have a man that enables it. Most boys sign away the next 30yrs for a mortgage based on 2 salaries trapping the family dynamic once the children arrive. Greatest investment of my life is my wife raising my children instead of someone on minimum wage.
Matthew D · 84w
If they are ladies, and aren't morally compromised by temptation - I agree.
Garth · 84w
Does this assume they are married, or not?
TallBrian · 84w
Everyone has a purpose. For most women I suspect they find that in having a family. Those who want to contribute outside of the home should be encouraged and welcomed but those who chose to contribute by raising a family and keeping a house should be encouraged and celebrated with just as much vigor...

Even if they are single and have student loans? Who’s picking up that tab?
Mindaugas · 84w
Oh man, I run into a lot of problems when I say this out loud, but I truly believe and live by it: My wife does not work, and I will do my best to ensure my daughters don’t have to either.
TeslaLiberty · 84w
Well they have to work. Just not a day job. Housekeeping, cooking, homeschooling and raising children is a lot of work.

We’re all crazy. Also happen to agree.

I’ll do you one better, both men and women shouldn’t be forced to work against their will. It should be a voluntary exchange. I know it’s an edgy take. But that’s me.

I loved the opportunity I had in my working life. I recently being promoted to Chief Domestic Engineer of my own home I’m happier than I’ve ever been.

I reverse it, I keep asking: Honey, did you recorded the podcast today? You know that will help your influencers IG numbers. You know you just have few hours, after your full-time job to come home and cook some organic food in a spotless well lit kitchen, in order to document what the baby eats....

It gets really crazy when you have a few kids, then are supposed to hand them over to a state institution after six months to go to work, only to end up paying almost 1:1 of your earned money back to the state institution. This way, the state ensures that children are indoctrinated as early as possi...

Nobody should have to work if they don't want to, men or women 😏
Essencial · 83w
We all should not work! We should do, what we love to do...living our passion...so it's not named "work" 😉
Agi Choote · 83w
What about single, childless women ? 😁
Sats-uma Stacker · 83w
OK, you're crazy :)

My wife just thanked me last night for working to provide for the family so she can have freedom to do the things she wants to do It really meant a lot to me, I appreciated her saying that

if you asked 15 yrs ago, this would have been insane statement to me. But I realised I was having the mentality to work because I never had someone to rely on but myself. Until I met my partner! For the first time, it was refreshing to hear from him say: "you do not need to work, I've got us and do ...

What is best is what serves the family best. Could be work but can also be being a homemaker.
