Have you looked at Claude Code skills. Check skillsmp.com and there may be a Claude skill you can install and simply use that does this with just a simple command.

But also, you can simply prompt it to do it and it will do it. It can use git commands after all and thus you can prompt it with exactly what you asked and in theory it should get it done without needing to install anything or look for features.
