When I was young, I thought I could change things; then I realized that it wasn’t things that needed changing, but people; and then I realized that nothing can be changed.

Right now, all I have left is faith.

Faith and the belief that Jesus Christ was real and that he left us an irrefutable and unshakable moral code—I don’t even care whether he is the Son of God or not, or whether God exists or not; his teachings transcend all of that for me.

I only believe in Jesus Christ as a man; I stopped believing in other men a long time ago.
