I don’t think technical debt is about implementation cost, its the cost of getting stalled at some point…the mess halts progress and you either stop building, or pay a human to untangle it

Techical debt relates more to ongoing maintenance not initial implementation. It's easy to create a landing page or MVP with AI but that's the easy part of software engineering.

Technical debt is any work that necessitates additional future work that could have been avoided. It's easy to say "it's not technical debt because it was so effortless to implement", but that is a very dangerous lie. Creating technical debt is extremely easy to do.
