The Tangerine Tyrant may being advised that sending in troops to Iran ('boots on the ground') will be welcomed by a population wanting salvation.... but experience tells us:

the advisors saying this are unlikely to actually know (and indeed may have reasons of their own for wanting US troops in the country);

the population may not universally welcome a US invasion, especially the we look at a century or more of US-Iran relations.

Things could be about to get even worse!
