Prediction markets killed “crypto.”

Why gamble on tokens printed out of thin air by insiders when you can just gamble for real?

This is why every single shitcoin casino just implemented prediction markets at the same time. Coinbase, Gemini, Robinhood, etc.

These guys all know the “crypto” grift has run its course. They know they need to pivot, so they have. They are finally being honest. It was never about “blockchain innovation” or [insert fucking stupid buzz word]. It was always about gambling.

And hey, I have no problem with gambling. Do whatever the fuck you want with your money. I don’t care. I’m just glad the shitcoin casinos are finally being honest, especially because it heralds the end of “crypto.”

I didn’t realize they were going the prediction market route. That’s interesting and your take makes sense. Shitcoins getting flushed will improve the world.

Nothing killed anything. It's just phases of public interest to gamble. Be it crypto or stocks or prediction market etc. Before this is over, there'll be another fad. It's a part of financial system to keep people entertained while politicians do their stuff in the shadows.

Interesting take. Indeed most crypto are scams and utilise gambling like properties.

Meme coins were the last hurrah, ushering in the transition to gambling. January 17th 2025 (pedocoin launch) will likely be remembered as the day crypto died, it just took the last suckers a few years to accept it.

honesty is the most expensive upgrade these casinos ever shipped. stripping the pseudo-tech jargon leaves the math bare, which is a much cleaner aesthetic for the crash. truth in gambling is finally outperforming the innovation theater.
