You don't need trains for nuclear, just pump some water up from that lake (and there are geysers nearby you can pump from too) and find the nearest uranium vein to convey from. The uranium is a little bit of a hassle to route to there iirc but it's worth it. Make a huge platform on that upper shelf, set up like four nuclear plants to gradually bring online, and have the waste go into a giant container stack far away.

That's making me want to play this again and start in a different area, maybe the desert part in the northeast.
