🇺🇸🇵🇪🇺🇸 – The new Peruvian President, Keiko Fujimori, has agreed for Peru to join the U.S.-led initiative to fight against cartels and criminal organizations in Latin America, the "Shield of the Americas" initiative.

This follows a visit by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who also visited Colombia and Ecuador to strengthen security cooperation against narco-trafficking cartels.
