Spot on. I think the wisest use case is to hold both XMR and BTC. I even think there are genuine use cases for other alt coins (though I agree many of them are trash), and I also support the larger Web3 movement at an ideological level of decentralization and self-sovereignty. I also support diversification of the assets you hold, including precious metals (primarily gold and silver).

Because of that perspective, I get into arguments with the BTC maxis more than I would like and I always come out of those arguments more convinced than ever that they are a cult.
