I took this photo of the city today. All that steel, reflective glass, and unforgiving concrete stretching into the sky, surrounded by sprawling highways.

I know some people thrive on that energy of progress, but it just drains and angers me. It reminds me how grateful I am to live where I do.

I’ll stick to the Osa where the only skyscrapers are the ancient trees, and the only traffic is the wildlife. Farms, jungle, and empty beaches with barreling waves.
