They can give money to Saylor. We can self-custody everyone, what is unrealistic about that? We have magic wands now and can code everything imaginable.

IMHO it’s unrealistic, because people hate taking responsibility. Look how long password managers have been around - they’re a fantastic and useful technology. Does everyone use them? No, because people still use their birthday or their cat’s name as a password and think that’s fine… How many people use 2FA? Even fewer, and it’s not that hard either. If people don’t use these, how can we expect them to use self-custody to actually own their bitcoin?

People just do. When they realize what bitcoin is, there's no point of not having self custody. If they don't realize it, there's no point of having Bitcoin. This is not a question of future, normal people self custody today without any problems. This is a made up problem.
