I think a lot of these stories about Peter Thiel's creepy evil book club and secret society are leaked by him to try to make him sound more mysterious evil and interesting.

It's never criminal, actionable, just "the most powerful people" and "plans to shape the world" ... yes, I too have a role playing campaign.

It's like the "AI will self improve and take over the universe" stuff. It's fear hype.
